Within his role as SVP Data Science at Kreditech, Konstantinou has:

• Built from ground up and currently directing the data science lab, a multidisciplinary and multifunctional department that researches and subsequently applies machine learning and advanced analytics to all business areas.
• Created a synergy between data science and legal to ensure the organization's compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (05/2018) without undermining data-driven solutions.
• Addressing the trade-off between complexity and performance and delivering sustainable and scalable underwriting solutions that enable offering Lending-as-a-Service (LaaS) to numerous partners across different locations.
• Managing credit risk effectively, closing the gap between backtest performance of machine learning algorithms and actual default rates.
• Implementing the intelligence component of the internal AdNetwork in order to ensure delivery of the right message to the right customer at the right time through the right channel.
• Established collaboration with academia and currently co-supervising a PhD candidate at Humboldt University, working on advanced credit risk analytics.
